Before floor plans, materials or room lists, we look to the site.

Light, wind, terrain, vegetation, and outlook shape every decision.

How do we create a home that feels grounded and effortless in this exact location?

This guides orientation, glazing, materiality, protection from coastal winds, landscaping integration and the overall form. We consider what is needed on site - water, power, roads, retaining, bushfire report, design guidelines - all these factors impart on the initial design.

Simple Forms, Strong Architecture

The modern barn style is refined, minimal and intentional.

Clean lines. Earthy tones. Honest materials. Even though we love them, not every site calls for a barn house. Its about looking at the land, location, vegetation and seeing what form is going to complement the surroundings best and enhance the overall project.

Gable or not our projects consider:
