I used to dream about living in a barn house.
I’d dream of how it would feel to ease back the curtains in the early morning light and gaze outside
For all the day dreaming I did, nothing compared to the unexpected beauty, the tranquility of our new reality.
The story of the Rêve began in 2016. Despite our city-based lives, we held an affinity for rural living. On one of our travels, we found 2.5 acres in rural Yallingup. The vista was stunning, stretching from rolling bushland to the distant coast, and we knew we had to create a house that honoured this remarkable piece of land.
We both shared a love for the iconic Australian shed - its design and materiality, and the way it melded into the bush surrounding it really resonated with us. But we wanted to elevate it, to reimagine this quintessential structure as something more.
And so, Stealth Farmhouse emerged.
As we moved through the design and build, we found our spark. Our passion.
What we didn’t realise at the time was how much our former careers would become part of the Rêve’s foundation.
Brett’s decades of real estate experience, working in Australia and abroad deeply inform the way we select land and shape the lifestyle each home offers.
Alesha’s both local and international background in fashion, taught foundational principles to design with intention, refine every detail and create spaces with longevity. When those worlds met, a new kind of homebuilding emerged: one grounded in design integrity, lifestyle insight and a deep respect for the land beneath it.
We made the decision to step away from our old lives so we could share what we’d created with others. Now, each project at the Rêve is a refinement, an expansion, of that original dream.
