We’re always searching for properties with something rare, and this one was no exception.

Millbrook Farmhouse was a little different for us. This wasn’t a new home emerging from the earth, it was the renovation of a 100-year-old farmhouse, its walls already rich with stories. The stately homestead, with its four expansive bedrooms and a master complete with an open stone fireplace quarried onsite, held a quiet grandeur.

Wide verandahs wrapped around the home, inviting you to linger and look out over the valley to the hills beyond. It was a place that asked you to slow down, to savour the passing hours. Restoring a heritage property is a delicate balance. We infused a modern sensibility while preserving its magic and history. Landscaping completed the transformation, creating the feeling of a welcoming country estate. Stone pathways now meander through the grounds, leading to a vegetable garden and fire pit, a gentle invitation to wander.

When the project was completed in 2023, Millbrook Farmhouse was ready to welcome its new custodians. They fell in love with its patina and character, and with every detail already considered, styled and furnished, they could step straight into their dream retreat. Today, it stands as the backdrop for their own family’s story, an escape into nature, connection, and the simple joys of country life.
