Stealth Retreat
Some pieces of land speak softly, yet unmistakably.
Set within the undulating hills of the Yallingup hinterland, the site is defined by privacy, a tranquil dam and ancient peppermint trees. It carries a quiet sense of place - one that calls for a home designed not simply to occupy the landscape, but to honour it.

Envisioned as a modern barn house, the form draws on simple, timeless architectural principles while pushing into new territory.
The exterior is cloaked in black charred cladding, a nod to the moody bushland and the shifting shadows of the surrounding trees.
In contrast, the interiors unfold in soft, natural tones inspired by travertine, light timbers and earthy textures. The result is a gentle juxtaposition: grounded and bold on the outside, warm and calming within.

The design celebrates the art of slowing down.
Expansive glazing captures the serene outlook across the water, inviting the changing seasons to become part of the home’s daily rhythm. Spaces are arranged to encourage rest - morning coffee by the dam, slow afternoons in the sun, evenings spent watching the light fade across the hills.

Stealth Retreat is a home designed for connection - with nature, with family and friends, and with the slower rhythm of life beyond the city.
Now under construction, the home awaits its future custodians, offering a place to gather, retreat and experience one of Western Australia’s most beautiful landscapes.
